I am excited to be embarking on my 24th year of teaching! It's actually my 31st year, if you count the seven years I home-schooled by two sons, Christopher (age 22) and Michael (age 20). My husband, Bill, and I have taught on both coasts. I taught all-day kindergarten in Baltimore, Maryland, and second grade in Pasadena, California. In 2002, we moved from California to the beautiful state of Colorado. I am thrilled to call Colorado and Jefferson Academy my home! I am looking forward to helping your child reach his/her fullest academic and character potential. Welcome to our first grade family!This will be my 20th year at Jefferson Academy, all with first graders, and my 23rd year as an Educational Assistant. I love the enthusiasm of the students and the academic growth that happens in first grade. My husband, Bob (also known as Fireman Bob), and I have two beautiful daughters that graduated from J.A.! Stephanie is a high school history teacher, who also coaches girls volleyball and boys baseball. Susie is a Physician Assistant with a spine and orthopedic office and surgical group.
